The Japanese Society of Computational Statistics (JSCS) is a scientific and educational society founded in 1986 to broaden and extend excellence of computational statistics, which plays a significant role in the information age, through academic activities for various fields in statistical science and computational science. To do this, JSCS has the following missions.
  • JSCS organizes an annual meeting and a symposium every year for authors to read their research papers.
  • JSCS organizes and supports international conferences.
  • JSCS publishes three scientific journals every year (two in Japanese and one in English).
  • JSCS sends Newsletters and E-mail news to JSCS members to inform them of the hottest news and exchange useful information.
  • JSCS conducts online projects via the Internet.
  • JSCS gives awards for excellent studies and research.
