Welcome Reception

All invited, registered participants and accompany persons can join in the reception.
Participants will be able to network with colleagues from around the world while enjoying some drinks and light meals.

After the Reception, the pick-up bus will drive to Senri Hankyu Hotel.

Banquet

August 31 (Fri) 18:30-21:00
Place: Senri Hankyu Hotel

Fee: Included in the Registration Fee

All invited, registered participants and accompany persons can join in the Banquet.

Before the Banquet, the pick-up bus will drive from Osaka University to Senri Hankyu Hotel.

Participants will be able to communicate with each other while enjoying buffet-style dinner.
Also they will be able to enjoy some attractions:

• Execution: by Osaka University Brass Band Club.
• Awa Odori: one of Japanese representative summer festivals and a traditional art form, mainly held in Tokushima.

Osaka Castle and Bay Area with Night Cruising

Fee: 12,000 yen per person
Departure: from Osaka University Convention Center at 14:00, from Senri Hankyu Hotel at 14:30

Course of Sightseeing

• Osaka Castle
  Osaka Castle has been a symbolic existence to the citizens through the history, and a large park surrounds the Castle. The Main Tower of Osaka Castle was designed in the original style of Momoyama Era. It was built in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and after rebuilted two times through the history, it was refurbished in 1997 to restore its grand appearance. (The logo mark of ICNCB is modeled on the Castle.) Inside the castle is a museum where visitors can observe the historical facts and remains of Osaka Castle. People can also visit the Osaka Municipal Museum beside the castle that holds exhibitions of the history and culture of Osaka all the year.
  
• Tenpozan Harbor Village
  Tenpozan Harbor Village is one of the most famous urban resort areas in Osaka.
  • Ferris Wheel - symbolic of the village. The diameter is 100 meter. People can enjoy a grand view in the sky as long as 15 minutes per circling.
  • Kaiyu-kan - one of the largest aquariums in the world where visitors may observe a variety of creatures in the sea including the largest species of sharks in the world.
  • Tenpozan Market place - a shopping center where products from all over the world are sold together with a line off catering shops.
  • Suntory Museum - a complex facility of an art museum and the IMAX theater with a 3-dimensional large screen.
• Night Cruise (with Dinner)
  The cruiser named Santa Maria cruises the whole Osaka Bay, calling at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) on the way. Enjoy buffet-style dinner and night view of Osaka.
